Town of Innisfil ON to accept bitcoin

As reported by CBC.ca, the town of Innisfil, Ontario has approved a 1 year pilot project starting this April 1, 2019 to evaluate collection of property taxes via Bitcoin. The residents will be using a wallet from Coinberry Pay, which is a Toronto based startup founded in 2017. Reading the company about section, reveals that Coinberry is crypto exchange that is federally registered with the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC) as a Money Service Business (MSB), and is required by law to have in place compliant Know-Your-Customer and Anti-Money Laundering policies.
